The Niger Delta Avengers made the promise in a recently released video posted on social media.
The group leader General Jack Fibor said that the group took the decision because Emefiele has used his office to eradicate poverty, activated so many programs including agriculture and he is not a politician.
Fibor pledged that if Emefiele is elected as president, the group is ready to surrender their arms and stop illegal bunkering in the Niger Delta region.
Meanwhile on Friday May 4, 2022, report reaching us that Governor Godwin Emefiele, has reportedly paid the sum of N100 million for the All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential nomination and expression of interest form.
This may have finally laid to rest the anxiety that had greeted the rumoured bid of Emefiele to contest for the office of president in 2023 general election.
According to media reports, the forms were picked on behalf of the CBN Governor by his associates at around mid-day in Abuja, and he is expected to contest under the platform of the ruling APC.
