Armed Forces is capable of addressing Nigeria security challenges – Irabor

The Chief of Defense Staff General Leo Irabor, has assured Nigerians that the Armed Forces is capable of addressing the current and future security challenges in the country.
General Irabor gave the assurance at the closing ceremony of the Defense Retreat held in Asaba, the Delta State capital, with the theme: Shaping the Armed Forces of Nigeria for Current and Future Security Challenges.
The chief of defense staff said that the resolutions reached at the top level military summit would help to strengthen mechanisms at addressing the various security problems.
Meanwhile, at a dinner after the discussions, Delta State Governor Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, commended the officers and men of the Nigeria armed forces for their sacrifice in the course of striving to maintain the peace in the country.
Highpoint of the event was award presentation by the Chief of defense staff to the governor and the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Sheriff Oboreiwori, including the Service Chiefs.
