Delta councilors remind Okowa of his N1m promise

News
It would be recalled that in the desperation to deliver Sheriff Oborevwori, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has promised Councilor a one million naira grant as incentives to ensure that they give his preferred candidate their sole support.
Okowa later jettison the idea when the Electoral Act did not accommodate the Councilors as eligible delegates to participate in the party Primaries.
A Councilor who pleaded anonymity, said that he and his fellow councillors are not happy with the way and manner the sitting governor has treated them.
In a local tongue he said; please tell Okowa to bring councillors one million naira grant that he promised to give us before the Gubernatorial Primaries, he cannot abandon us because we are no longer voting.”
Another Councilor who spoke in the same vein said, ”abeg tell Okowa to bring our million naira, tell am say councillors they vex he said.”
