  1. Notice of Elections= Section 28(1)The Commission shall publish Notice of Election, not later than 360 days before the date of any general election.
  2. Submission of list of  Candidates=Section 29(1) Every Political party shall not later than 180 days submit to the Commission, in the prescribed forms, list of candidates, the party proposes to sponsor at the elections.
  3. Presentation of Unqualified Candidates= Section

29(8) A political party, who presents to the Commission, a candidate, who does not meet the qualifications stipulated, commits an offence and liable to a fine of N10m.

  1. Publication of Nomination= Section 31(1) The Commission shall, at least 150 days before the day of election, publish by displaying at the relevant office or offices of the Commission and on the Commission’s website, full names and addresses of all nominated candidates.
