Ned Nwoko, Michael Diden, Ighoyota Amori win PDP tickets for Delta  Senate

Prince Ned Nwoko, Mr Michael Diden and Chief Ighoyoya Amori, have emerged the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), flag bearers for Delta North, Delta South and Delta Central senatorial districts respectively for the 2023 senatorial election.
The PDP primaries which took place at the various senatorial districts, had Amori, who defeated his closest rival, Chief John Nani, a former commissioner in Delta State, to become candidate of the party for Delta Central.
He polled a total of 142 votes against the 123 recorded by Nani.
In Delta North, Ned Nwoko, a former House Representatives member, won the ticket of the Party for Delta North Senatorial District with a total vote of 242 to defect Paul Osaji who recorded 67 votes.
For Delta South Senatorial districts, Michael Diden defeated his closest rival by polling a total of 176 votes against Daniel Reyenieju who polled a total of 49 votes.
Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) Delta State has announced that the run-off primary election for Okpe/Sapele/Uvwie and Ethiope Federal Constituency runoff will hold onTuesday, May 24, 2022.
According to a statement signed by Dr Ifeanyi Osuoza, State Publicity Secretary, PDP, Delta State, kickoff time is 9am.
The statement added that the venue for the primaries are: Sapele township stadium for the Okpe/Sapele/Uvwie Federal Constituency, while Oghara township would be the venue for the Ethiope Federal Constituency primaries.
The statement also advised all  House of Representatives Aspirants, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), and Security Agencies to take note.
Bayelsa Times Corresondent recalls that for Okpe/Sapele/Uvwie constituency, Chief Efe Afe, Chief Napoleon Gbinije and Bar Evelyn Oboro had earlier polled25 votes each.
While in the Ethiope Federal Constituency  the two aspirants, Mr Ben Igbakpa and Mrs  Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu also polled 34 votes each.
