Entertainment Lifestyle

Orlando Julius Aremu Olusanya Ekemode, popularly known as Orlando Julius or Orlando Julius Ekemode, a Nigerian saxophonist, singer, bandleader, and songwriter, the originator of afrobeat music, has  joined his ancestor.

”I got a phone call from his lovely wife Latoya early this morning that he peacefully slept off last night. He had health problems in the last one year but his passing into the next dimension came unexpected.

”Orlando was with Manu Dibango the most successful Saxophone player of Africa. He performed and wrote even for James Brown. When you check google you will see the amount of High Life and Afrobeat Albums he recorded.

”Nigeria has lost a giant. A quiet super star who did not need and want the publicity most young artist crave for these days.  May he continue to play his Saxophone in the next dimension with all his colleagues who are there to receive him.”
