Ereyitomi floors Uduaghan daughter in Warri, as Ben Igbakpa ties with Ibori’s Daughter

By Our Correspondents

A former Executive Assistant to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta state on Youth Development, Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi, has won the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, ticket for the 2023 Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency House of Representatives election.

At the primary election held on Sunday at Utagba-Uno, Ndokwa West local government area, Ezechi garnered 44 votes to beat the incumbent representative, Hon. Ossai N. Ossai and three others.

Ossai polled 24 votes, Ken Okolugbo 14 votes, Ugo Nwokolo 11 votes, and Edike Kaine 3 votes.

The former EA was declared winner of the primary election by the Returning Officer and Secretary to the State Governnent, SSG, Chief Patrick Ukah.

Relatedly  the incumbent member representing Warri Federal Constituency in the House of Assembly, Chief Thomas Ereyitomi, on Saturday defeated his only rival and chairman of Warri North Local Government Area, Smart Asekutu, 96 votes to 06 at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primary held at the Warri Township Stadium.
The case was, however, different at Oghara, as incumbent House of Representatives member, Ben Igbakpa, tied with the daughter of former Governor James Ibori, Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu, in the battle of Ethiope federal
According to our Correspondent,  Fred Martin won the PDP ticket for Warri North constituency after polling 25 votes from the party’s delegates to contest the House of Assembly seat in the 2022 general election.
Orode was floored after polling only 7 votes to emerge in the second position in the primary election.
Martin as the PDP’s House of Assembly candidate for Warri North Constituency will now slug it out with candidates that will emerge from other political parties in the 2023 general elections.
Meanwhile, some of the supposedly delegates for the PDP primary election are in the hospital and some have gone into hiding. They were counting their chickens before they hatched. They borrowed money to do one or the other expecting to be highly mobilized by the aspirants. The bubble burst with delegates being narrowed to just 3 ad-hoc delegates. In the next few days or so you are going to be hearing cases of cardiac arrest among them.
